Does it actually work?
Yes — and you don't have to take our word for it.
Hera Aqua uses ion exchange technology to actively remove calcium and magnesium ions — the minerals that make water hard — directly at your shower.
Most shower filters only reduce chlorine. They don't touch calcium or magnesium, which means your skin and hair are still exposed to the full effects of hard water. Hera Aqua is a true softener — you can verify this yourself with water hardness test strips.
Water hardness is measured in mg/L. Soft water reads below 50 mg/L. Most of London, the South East, East Anglia, and the Midlands measures between 250–425 mg/L — very hard. The before and after below are from a real customer in a hard water area.
Water hardness varies by location. Not sure how hard your water is? Subscribe to our emails to get a free water hardness test kit.

How to install your Hera Aqua
Most customers are up and running in under 15 minutes.
Clean the wall surface
Wipe the area with a dry, dust-free cloth. A clean surface ensures the adhesive hooks bond securely.
Stick the adhesive hooks
Position the hooks on the wall, leaving enough space for the hose to reach the softener without sharp bends. Press firmly to remove any air bubbles.
Connect the softener hose
Attach the softener hose to the left side of the wall mount adapter. This hose supplies water into the softener.
Connect the shower hose
Attach the shower hose to the right side of the wall mount adapter. This carries softened water out of the softener.
Connect to the water source
Connect the other end of the softener hose to your water source.
Attach the softener
Twist the wall mount adapter into the softener cartridge until secure.
Hang the softener
Hang the softener unit onto the adhesive hooks on the wall.
Attach the cover
Clip the cover into place to complete your installation. That's it — you're ready to go.
