How do I regenerate my water softener?
To keep your water softener performing at its best, regenerate the cartridge every 2–4 weeks using salt and water. Under normal water conditions, the cartridge can last up to 2 years.
- Prepare the regeneration tank – Fill the tank with tap water.
- Add salt – Pour in approximately 500 g of regular table salt (any type of salt is fine—just avoid sodium-free varieties).
- Remove the softener cartridge – Twist the cartridge off the wall mount adapter.
- Attach the regeneration adapter – Secure it onto the cartridge.
- Insert the cartridge into the tank – Place it into the cartridge slot inside the tank.
- Position the pump – Submerge the water pump in the salt water and use the suction cups to keep it at the bottom of the tank.
- Set up the drain – Direct the small outlet tube from the regeneration adapter toward a suitable drain (e.g., kitchen sink, shower drain, or a bucket).
- Start regeneration – Plug the pump into a power source (such as a power bank or wall socket) to begin the regeneration process.
Note: power bank and USB socket adapter are not included.
How frequently to regenerate?
We recommend regenerating at least once a month, but depending on how frequently and how much the water softener is used, you might need to regenerate every 3 weeks. As an example:
- 1 shower / day + 10 minutes per shower = regenerate once a month
- 2 showed / day + 10 minutes per shower = regenerate twice a month
Where to buy salt?
The most accessible and convenient option is regular table salt from any supermarket (any type of salt is fine - just avoid sodium-free varieties)
How to know if my water is soft or hard?
The most accurate way is to use a water test kit (You can order one from us for free!)
Water hardness is measured in parts per million (PPM)
- Soft 0 → 60
- Moderately Hard 61 → 120
- Hard >121
